This small, family run, exclusive site gets its name from the historic Windmill, that History leads us to believe was the source of water which used to supply Carisbrooke Castle with spring water in the 11th century onwards. The natural spring water still runs which forms the first clatterford between the farm and the castle.
Today, this field is used for our small quirky glamping site, campsite! Picturesque views, lovely walks, close by grazing horse, some roaming chickens and plenty of on onsite entertainment including the Showershack, Mrs Fire Pit, Troff and Scoff, OMO, Spudomatic, and Big Bertha BBQ!
This ideal location is situated just under the historic Carisbrooke Castle (5 minutes away) so you can visit anything on the Island in a matter of minutes. The local village (10 minutes walk) has plenty of eateries and local shops. Newport (20 minutes walk) is the main town on the Isle of Wight with a range of facilities, including cinema, range of pubs, shops etc and the main bus terminal on the island. The site is approximately 20 minutes drive from any beach on the island!
