The Waterfront at Totland Bay boasts one of the most enviable positions on the whole Isle of Wight. Set right above the crystal waters of Totland Bay, it is the perfect place to relax in the summer sun and in the winter, cosy up and watch the waves crash up against the large windowed wall.
The building itself was built as the original church for Totland in 1869. A new church was built on the opposite side of the road in 1875. The building was then removed from it’s position on Church Hill and re-erected on the beach in this location in approximately 1880 as a reading room and library. It opened as a cafe/restaurant in 1984.
Home to The Mediterranean Kitchen, the food offering is varied and caters for a wide range of dietary requirements, with an excellent choice for vegan and vegetarian. The specials board changes daily and the main menu features dishes with influences of Greek, Italian and Spanish cuisine.
Live music plays every Friday night and Sunday afternoons.
