The Borneo Pantry was, as the tittle suggests, established in Brunei, Borneo in 2011. Catering at first for family and friends, the fan base grew, supplying Expats who were missing their store-cupboard staple. Since arriving back on UK soil to the Isle of Wight in 2015 the Pantry has gone from strength to strength. Having been awarded a Great Taste Award Gold Star from the Guild of Fine Food for the Pickled Watermelon in 2017, 2018 saw another gold star awarded for the Proper Piccalilli.
Chutneys and relishes can be the star addition to jazz up a simple salad or sandwich or be a classic extension to a more refined cheese board. Catering for all taste buds, the range of products cover everything from the classics, such as Caramelised Onion Marmalade, to the more unusual Pickled Watermelon. Whatever your choice you are sure to add plenty of hand produced flavour safe in the knowledge that nothing but fruit, vegetables, spices, vinegar’s and sugars have created the jar which is bursting full of flavour. All products are handmade in a dedicated kitchen in Sandown on the Isle of Wight.
