Ford Farm House, originally built in the late 1800’s, is at the end of a quiet lane in Whitwell, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. We offer just one, quiet, first-floor, room for Bed & Breakfast, perfect for those who really do want to “get away from it all”. Our Continental-style breakfast is supplied in the room prior to arrival, ensuring that our guests are able to breakfast at whatever time they wish, whilst enjoying the peaceful views across the garden to the fields and Downs beyond. We encourage many birds to live in and to visit our garden, among them thrushes, woodpeckers and finches.
Our tranquil location appeals to young and old alike, but the Island’s many natural attractions, including sandy beaches, cliff views and cycling and walking paths are easily reached. Ventnor Botanic Gardens are about ten minutes away by car and Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s residence, is about thirty minutes, with dozens of other interesting and varied attractions in between.
