Briddlesford Lodge Farm Shop

Briddlesford Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight, PO33 4RY

The herd of 140 pedigree Guernsey cows are all descended from the fifteen cows that Charles Griffin brought across the downs to Briddlesford in 1923. The farm is now managed by Charles Griffin’s great grandson Paul Griffin. The herd has won lots of awards and they produce their own milk, cream and associated dairy products, as well as welfare friendly rose veal from their own dairy bull calves. Visit the farm shop for the best in local dairy products including milk, yoghurt, cream and butter. There’s a wide range of local veg, meat, eggs, bread, chutney, jam, beer, cider and lots more! The farm shop is located in what use to be the milking stable until 1996. The character of the building has been maintained but now the stalls where the cows once stood to be milked are piled high with delicious Isle of Wight produce. Fresh fruit and vegetables, pickles and preserves, Isle of Wight cheese are just a few of the items available. The shop sources quality food from over 50 Isle of Wight producers and is developing a reputation as a real alternative to the supermarket for any discerning customers.
